(Local Humane Society wins)….It was a national contest.
The Tractor Supply Company put on the contest. The winner gets $10,000. The Humane Society of Imperial County won. They will be awarded the winning check this Saturday. It is being reported the local shelter for animals will use the bulk of the funds to pay off Veterinarian bills, in order to keep the abandoned animals healthy in the future. The shelter is still in need of everything, from food for the animals, cleaning items and other necessities. They are very grateful for the unexpected funds they have won.
