(Board of Supervisors to discuss an emergency declaration)…The Board meets Tuesday morning.

County Fire Chief Alfredo Estrada Jr. will ask the Board to extend the State of Emergency for the Mud Pot threat approximately 5 miles northwest of Niland. The Mud Pots are creating a large sinkhole in the area. The first State of Emergency was declared a few weeks ago. The Supervisors will also discuss an agreement with PERC Water Corporation for wastewater treatment services in the Niland County Sanitation District in an amount not to exceed $151,900. The Board will be asked to accept a Medication Assisted Treatment Grant. Sheriff Ray Loera will discuss the grant with the Board. The Supervisors convene into public session at 9:30 Tuesday morning.
