(Evening Air Pollution levels continue to increase)…It has happened for over a week.
Air Pollution levels have been increasing in Calexico, mostly, but in El Centro as well. Wednesday the 8-hour average of Ozone Air Quality Index reached 108 in Calexico. That translates to an Air Quality Condition of Unhealthy for Sensitive Groups. Those groups include children and people with asthma. An Air Alert was issued at 6:00 pm Wednesday. By Thursday the levels had lowered to an Air Quality Condition of Good.
