(Independence Day is Wednesday)…Many will be celebrating in and around the IVC Campus.
That will be the site of Freedom Fest 2018. It will be the 28th Freedom Fest celebration, underwritten by FM 107.5 on behalf of the Imperial Chamber of Commerce. Crowds are expected to be between 55,000 and 60,000 in and around the Imperial Valley College Campus. Gates open at 6:00 pm Wednesday with various vendors and entertainment. At 8:00 pm Oscar Garcia with Blanc Image Productions will provide the musical entertainment. Garcia says he plans to play dance music, some of the classics and mixing in some patriotic songs, as well. The DJ will entertain until 9:10 pm. There will be speeches until 9:30, when the major fireworks show, synchronized to music on FM 107.5, will begin.
