(Cal Fire is getting the upper hand)…An update on the Recycle Fire was released Friday morning.
The update said the fire was now 85 percent contained. Firefighters have stopped the fire from spreading after burning 265 acres. The brush fire started mid-morning Wednesday off Highway 94 and Campo Truck Trail, near Campo. Officials now say the fire was started from an improperly extinguished campfire on private property. One injury has been reported. Evacuation warnings remain in effect for resident on La Posta Road. All Road closures, however, have been lifted.
