The U.S. General Services Administration announced today that $98,062,000 is included in President Obama’s Fiscal Year 2015 Budget Request for improvements at the Calexico West port of entry Phase 1.
According to the GSA , the President’s budget request includes money that would fund a new pedestrian processing and privately owned vehicle inspection facilities at downtown Calexico port of entry. Also included is money for a new head house to provide supervision and services to non-commercial vehicle inspection areas , new administration offices and a parking structure. GSA says the projects will increase operation space , reduce traffic congestion, and create a safe environment for port employees and visitors
The Presidents budget also includes $216,828,000 for the San Ysidro Land port of entry Phase2.
