(National Protest and Remembrance)…It came to the Imperial Valley.
Schools around the Valley participated. Calexico, Brawley and Southwest confirmed that their students walked out of class this morning, and walked to the track at their individual school to remember the 17 students shot and killed one month ago in Florida. The event was also to be a protest against school violence that was killing students. Southwest Walked at 9:00 am, the other schools began at 10:00 am. No students were allowed to leave campus.
