(Jose Luis Ramirez Dorantes is sentenced)…He is one of five suspects in the murder of Border Patrol agent Robert Rosas.
Ramirez Dorantes is the third of the suspects to be sentenced. Thursday he was given a 55-year prison sentence. Prosecutors say five individual ambushed Rosas on July 23rd, 2009. The El Centro native was killed in order for the assailants to rob him of his Border Patrol issued night vision equipment. Two other participants in the murder have been sentenced. There is one more in custody. The fifth remains at large.
