Calexico police received a report a man had fallen off his bicycle and he appeared to be injured. Officers located the man, who was semi-conscious. When paramedics arrived and attempted to check the man he became combative. Police took the man into custody for his own safety. When officers patted the 38 year old down, they found a baggie in his pocket, containing 3.7 grams of methamphetamine and 6.2 grams of heroin. They searched his bag and found tools that are normally used in burglaries. Police released the man due to medical distress, and a report is being filed with the District Attorney’s office.
