(Investigation continues)…County Sheriff's investigators are looking into the death of a 58 year old.
Deputies were called to a residence in the 1900 block of Austin Road late last week. When they arrived they found 58 year old Ruben Beltran suffering from a stab wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. A suspect was quickly identified. 30-year-old James McDaniel of El Centro was taken into custody. He was booked into County Jail, charged with suspicion of Homicide. Bail was set at $1 million. An autopsy is being conducted on the victim to determine the exact cause of death. Officials say once the investigation is concluded, the report will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s office.
