Imperial Valley football teams remain in action as round two of the CIF-San Diego Playoffs are set.
In Division 5 , the Calipatria Hornets advanced with a 28 - 3 win over Palo Verde. The Hornets will travel to San Diego to meet Tri-City Christian Friday night. The #4 seed Holtville Vikings had an opening round bye and will host the Mt. Empire Red Hawks in round two. Mt. Empire beat Army-Navy in round one.
In Division 3 action the Brawley Wildcats are coming off a first round bye and will host Morse Friday at Warne field. The Imperial Tigers knocked off the West Hills Wolfpack 25 - 0 in round one and earned a rematch with the #2 seeded Central Spartans Friday night at Cal Jones Field in El Centro.
The Central - Imperial game will be broadcast live on KXO AM1230 and on the web at kxoradio.com. The pre-game show starts at 6:45 p.m.
