(Fatal Injury incident)…It happened in the North county this week.

A Bicyclist was riding near North Marina Drive at Sea Wind Avenue in Salton City. A vehicle, driven by 30 year old V. Torres of Salton City, came up behind the bicyclist, traveling at around 35 miles per hour. According to the female driver and the investigation, she attempted to pass the bicycle to the left, and the right corner of the vehicle clipped the bike, throwing the rider into the street. He was unresponsive when the California Highway Patrol arrived on scene. Attending paramedics pronounced the man dead at the scene. The CHP says the case remains under investigation pending the identity of the victim.
