(Fresh Strike Team)….They left early Wednesday morning.

The Imperial County Team is relieving the 21 firefighters at the Mendocino Complex fire. That Team had been on scene for over a week. They should be home some time Wednesday night. The latest report on the Mendocino Complex fire is that total containment could be still a month away. The complex fire is actually two fires. One is the Ranch Fire and the other is called the Rivers fire. Both started on July 27th about an hour apart. The Ranch fire has burned over 251,000 acres. The River fire has burned almost 49,000 acres. Combined they have destroyed 116 residences and 105 other structures. There are over 4,000 firefighters on scene.
