(Boulevard getting a new Fire Station)….The new station will cover wild fires, as well as the 1,800 Boulevard residents.
The San Diego County Fire Authority said Thursday ground had been broken for the construction of the new station. They expect it to be open by the end of the year. The $3.5 million station will house the current volunteer crew, as well as career fire fighters. The 7,866 square foot station is being constructed on Ribbonwood Road. It is one of 16 new stations approved by the Authority.
