The Border Players, a program of the Calexico Arts Commission, presents a production of their original comical-musical called "Mexican Mosaic" directed by Bill Hodge, President of Border Players. This production illuminates the cultural lifestyles, economic struggles and socio-political issues of the Latin community. Mexican-Chicano themes of work, history, immigration, school and family are explored in a vibrant, comical manner. This colorful, energetic production is a mosaic of comedy, song and dance, featuring the works of contemporary Chicano playwrights, corridos, and Latin Rock music. Performances will take place at 7:30 p.m. on October 27, 28 and November 3, 4.
