San Diego State University Imperial Valley campus in Calexico, California is offering a free training and informational session on Substitute Teaching on Tuesday, March 20th from 4:00 - 8:00 PM in the John Steppling Art Gallery located at 720 Heber Avenue.

"These sessions will offer some tips on how to become a more effective substitute teacher," said Dr. Olga Amaral, Associate Professor and Chairperson of the Division of Education at SDSU-IVC. "There will be presentations from school officials and participants will receive a Certificate of Participation upon completion of the training," Dr. Amaral continued.
