SDSU - Commemorates 48 Years of Quality Education |

San Diego State University-Imperial Valley Campus celebrates the second annual "Explore SDSU IV Campus Week" to commemorate the school's 48 years of quality education.
The week kicks-off with a performance by Grupo de Danza Folklorica Xochihuitl on Monday, March 12, 2007 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in Rodney Auditorium followed by an Associated Student Scavenger Hunt on Tuesday, March 13 from 12 noon to 2 p.m., and the musical group Los Bohemios on Wednesday, March 14, from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Rodney Auditorium. A reception opens a sculpture exhibit by Jim Sloman entitled The Bikini Shop on Thursday, March 15 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the John Steppling Art Gallery. The week concludes with a Scholarship Gala on Friday, March 16, 2007 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m on the Rollie Carrillo Quad. This year's theme for the Gala is Celebrating-the-Green for the economic growth of the Imperial Valley fueled by our graduates and for many other important SDSU-IV Campus accomplishments which will be known at the Gala Event. Of course, not to mention that it falls on St. Patrick's Day!
ALL EVENTS WILL BE HELD AT THE CALEXICO CAMPUS LOCATED ON 720 HEBER AVENUE. EVENTS FROM MARCH 12-15 ARE FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.
The cost to attend the Scholarship Gala on March 16 is $75.00 per person and includes cultural foods representing the history of the Imperial Valley, live entertainment, door prizes and special Irish treats in keeping with St. Patrick's Day.
