| (A new scholarship program has been announced)…The Institute for Socio-Economic Justice has announced the Reyes & Lupe Topete Scholarship Foundation. The Institute, a non-profit corporation, is making available $10,000 in scholarships from the new Foundation. Scholarships will be made available to high school, junior college or University students. Applications are available at the local schools or at the Institute office at 541 Main Street in Brawley. The Topetes are former Imperial Valley residents who endowed the Institute with the opportunity to create a better future for the youth thru education. |
