Imperial Valley Schools to Receive $565,700 in Education Grants PDF Print E-mail

(The State is handing out $55.5 million in grants)…State Superintendent of Public Instruction Jack O’Connell says 625 English Language Acquisition Program grants are being distributed. The purpose of the grants is to ensure more students become proficient in the English Language. Imperial County school Districts are receiving a total of $565,700 in grant monies. The largest grant locally is going to the Calexico Unified School District. They are receiving $257,000. $117,200 is going to the El Centro Elementary School District. Mulberry Elementary is receiving a $300 grant, the smallest amount for the county.
