The Human Anatomy and Physiology Society (HAPS) is holding its Annual Conference at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina from Saturday May 26 to Monday May 28 with additional workshops to be held at Miramar College May 29-30.

Amongst the many tremendous speakers is Angelina Whalley of the Institute for Plastination in Germany, showing human cadaver plastination (see some examples of their work in their press releases: http://www.natureandscience.org/bodyworlds/press_main.asp).

Also featured amongst our speakers in San Diego are Dr. Alan Hargans of the UC-San Diego Medical Center, discussing space flight and the cardiovascular system and Dr. Suzette Chopin of Texas A & M University presenting the biology of aging. There are many more speakers and lots of fun workshops so if you are interested in human biology, mark your calendars and come!

"The Human Anatomy and Physiology Society (HAPS) is primarily a group of professors and teachers of human biology classes in high schools and colleges. However, lots of folks just interested in the topic join the society or come to our meetings. It currently includes over 1,200 members from throughout the United States, Canada and the rest of the world. Much of the work of the society is aimed at classroom and lab innovations as well as in-service training.
