Court Interpreting Scholarships at SDSU - Imperial Valley Campus PDF Print E-mail

Calexico, California - Through the auspices of the California Court Interpreters Association (CCIA), San Diego State University-Imperial Valley Campus is offering its students the opportunity of special training in court interpreting through attendance at the CCIA Annual Conference in Newport Beach this forthcoming October 6-7.

In order to inform students and others about these scholarships, about career opportunities in the interpreting profession, and about the Certificate in Court Interpreting at Imperial Valley Campus, a forum, free and open to the public, will be held on Friday, August 31 at 5:30 p.m. in Room LA 2 , 720 Heber Avenue in Calexico. Featured speakers will be Jo Ann Breeze, President of the California Court Interpreters Association, Judge Donal Donnelly of the Imperial County Superior Court, and José Guillén, Executive Officer of the Imperial County Courts. Refreshments will be served. For further information, please contact Dr. Rogelio Reyes, tel. 760 768 5532, email rreyes@mail.sdsu.edu.
