(Imperial County to get a new Judge)…The Commissioner position will become a full judgeship. The former Commissioner, Poli Flores, left the position after being appointed Superior Court Judge recently. Flores filled the vacancy left by Annie Gutierrez in July 2008. It was decided a full judge was needed in Imperial County Superior Court. The Governor is expected to appoint the new judge. With the appointment, there will be ten Superior Court judges in Imperial County. |
