(Festival season is well underway)…A month of Festivals began with the Carrot Festival. The 63^rd Annual Holtville Carrot Festival wrapped up this past weekend. This Friday the 64^th Annual Date festival begins its ten-day run in Indio. The three-day San Felipe Carnival also begins this Friday south of the border. The Imperial Valley Fair and Fiesta begins its ten-day run February 26. The Grandstand entertainment has been announced, with several Tribute concerts. Friday will be a tribute to Van Halen. Saturday will be a tribute to the Beatles. Sunday will be the Youth Mariachi Competition. High School Madness is scheduled for Monday, March 1. Jimmie Cannon Jazz Festival will be held March 2. Guns and Hoses, a public safety competition, will be held Wednesday March 3. March 4 Whiskey Dawn will be in concert. An Eagles tribute will be Friday, March 5. The Summer of Love will be featured March 6. And the Grandstand entertainment wraps up on March 7 with the Dia De La Familia. Livestock judging is scheduled for the final weekend of the fair.
