Padres FanFest At Petco PDF Print E-mail

The San Diego padres will give fans an opportunity to catch fly balls in the outfield , pitch in the bullpen and run the bases at PETCO Park during FanFest on Saturday , February 13. Anywhere from 6,000 to 10,000 fans are expected for the free event. Gates at PETCO will open at 9:00a.m. for season ticket holders. The general public can enter at 10:00 a.m. The event will last until 5:00 p.m. There will be appearances by current and former players , coaches and members of the front office staff. Padres vice chairman and CEO Jeff Moorad , team president and COO Tom Garfinkel and manger Bud Black will be available for several question-and-answer sessions during the day. Fans will have the opportunity to get autographs and tour the clubhouse. Among the players tentatively scheduled to attend the event are Heath Bell, Kyle Blanks, Evarth Cabrera, Kevin Correia, Jon Garland, Adrian Gonzales, Tony Gwynn Jr, Scott Hairston, Jerry Hairston Jr , Chase Headley, Nick Hundley, Clayton Richard, Will Venable and Chris Young. Tony Gwynn Jr will host a batting clinic and Heath Bell will host a pitching clinic. The Padres Foundation will hold their annual Garage Sale in the Omni Premier Club where fans will have the opportunity to purchase game-used equipment and memorabilia.
