(It’s a girl)…And she waited over four hours into the New Year before she arrived. The first baby of the New Year in Imperial County was born at El Centro Regional Medical Center. Leticia Miramontes of El Centro delivered baby Dianne at 4:15 Friday morning. The first baby of the year weighed in at 7 pounds, one half ounce. Dianne and her mother are doing fine. Leticia and her husband have a four-year-old daughter. The second baby of the year was born in Brawley. A bouncing baby boy was delivered at Pioneers Memorial Hospital at around 4:45 Friday morning. Michelle Navarrete of Calexico gave birth to Sixto Emilio. The baby boy weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces. Sixto and Michelle are doing fine. The baby is the fourth for Sixto and Michelle Navarrete.
