Sex offender extradited to San Jose

(Another sex offender caught re-entering U.S.)…Juan Herera was caught by El Centro Sector Border Patrol agents. The Mexican National was found crossing the border illegally this week. Agents transported Herrera for processing. A records check revealed he had been convicted of Felony Sexual Assault on a minor in Santa Clara County. He had been sentenced to five months in jail and three years probation. Herrera had an active warrant issued from Santa Clara County for probation violation, and a second warrant out of San Jose for sexual assault and domestic abuse. The warrants were confirmed, and Herrera was extradited from Imperial County to San Jose.
