Nominations being accepted for IVC Hall of Fame

(IVC District bringing back Hall of Fame)….The action is in honor of the 50^th Anniversary of the District. Nominations for the rejuvenated Hall of Fame will be accepted through December 11. Letters of nomination, giving reasons why a person should be considered, may be mailed to the IVC Communications Department, P.O. Box 158, Imperial, California, 92251, or emailed to hallo fame@imperial.edu. Those chosen will be recognized by the Imperial Valley College Foundation at a Hall of Fame Dinner in the New Science Building on Thursday February 11, 2010. To qualify, candidates must have an IVC AA/As degree or at least 60 units completed from IVC and a four year degree from a College or University. The selection committee also will award points for outstanding contributions to a candidate’s profession, contributions to society and for excellence in amateur athletics at IVC. There are currently 11 members in the IVC Hall of Fame. There are plans to add up to five new members annually through a more formalized selection process.
