Forgery suspect arrested in Brawley

(Brawley man caught trying to cash a stolen check)….Brawley Police Commander Brett Houser said the man was arrested Wednesday afternoon. Houser says at 2:00 in the afternoon Brandon Quinonez attempted to cash a stolen check at a local bank. The Commander did not identify the bank. Houser says his department investigated and discovered Quinonez had stolen the check and attempted to forge it. The suspect was booked into County Jail, charged with burglary, attempted grand theft and forgery. The victim, who was not named for privacy purposes, was identified and notified of the arrest and recovery of their stolen check.
