(Dilan sentenced)…Paul Dilan was given an 11-year prison sentence. The El Centro resident had been arrested in the connection with the July 7, 2008 murder of Michael Guzman in Dilan’s home on East Hamilton. Dilan later entered a guilty plea to a reduced charge of Voluntary manslaughter. The sentence was handed down Monday. Guzman was killed by a single gunshot wound to the right eye. Police say the weapon used was a .30 caliber rifle. Dilan originally denied shooting Guzman, but later told investigators the shooting had been an accident. |
