Napalitano says immigration reform needed

(Border benchmarks met)…That is the assessment from Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano. She told a Liberal Think Tank Center for American Progress the benchmarks were set by Congress in 2007 for border security. She said the improved border security and tougher enforcement makes attaining immigration reform possible. She also said Friday that the Obama Administration has made significant enforcement reforms over the past 10 months and that border security has been transformed. Napalitano said immigration reform is needed and that a fair and tough path to citizenship for undocumented immigrants already in the U.S. is critical.
