Congressman Bob Filner has announced a $2.5 million Economic Development Administration grant to Imperial County and the Heber Public Utilities District. The grant is funded through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. The money will be used for infrastructure projects to include critical roadway construction and water and sewer system development. Filner said that as a result of the grant , " more harworking men and women in Imperial County will have work to support their families , which will spread the wealth and stimulate prosperity." |
