(Authorities on the look-out for Drunk Drivers)…Imperial County Avoid the 10 DUI Campaign releases their 4th of July weekend schedule.

 Saturation patrols are set for Friday and Sunday. Police Departments from Brawley, Calexico, Westmorland, Imperial and Calipatria will participate in the Saturation Patrols. Saturday a multi-agency contingent will patrol in and around Imperial Valley Campus during and after Freedom Fest. Increased patrols will be held in the City of Imperial and surrounding unincorporated areas on the Fourth of July. Throughout the holiday weekend extra DUI roving patrols will be assigned by police within the cities of Brawley, Calexico, Imperial, Westmorland and Calipatria. The County Probation Department will also staff units to support the participating police departments. The California Highway Patrol’s Maximum Enforcement Period begins at 6:00 pm Friday evening and will continue through midnight Sunday. During the Maximum Enforcement Period the CHP assigns all available officers to patrol the Interstate and unincorporated roadways.
