U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Calexico east port of entry made seizures of cocaine and methamphetamine in three separate and unrelated incidents Tuesday.
The methamphetamine seizure occurred at 7:30 P.M. when officers using a drug detector dog and X-ray equipment found 3 pounds of the narcotic hidden in an empty fire extinguisher. The driver of the car , a legal permanent resident of San Bernardino , California , was arrested. Earlier in that day , at 7:00 A.M. , 21 pounds of cocaine was found hidden in the dashboard of a car.
