MANA looking for outstanding Latinas

(MANA is accepting nominations)….MANA de Imperial Valley is a National Latina Organization. They are inviting the community to nominate a Latina for consideration as a 2009 Las Primeras Honoree. Three women will be chosen and honored during the Annual Las Primeras Awards Gala, set for Friday October 23, at the Old Eucalyptus School House near El Centro. Las Primeras provides the community with the honor of celebrating positive leadership of Latinas in Imperial County, honoring women everybody can look at as roll-models. The deadline to submit a nomination is Friday, August 14. Applications are available online at www.manaimperialvalley.org, or at the Calexico Chamber of Commerce.
