(Summer reading program underway in Calexico)….Camarena memorial Library’s Summer Family Reading Program begins today. The program runs for 6 weeks. There are four age group categories, toddler, school aged children, teens and adults. All activities are free, except the Scrapbooking Club. The theme for the children is Be Creative, for teens it is Express Yourself. The purpose of the program is to keep children reading during the summer months. Incentives are provided, thanks to generous donations. They earn a prize for every ten books read by children or 250 books read by teens. For toddlers, the books can be read to them to earn a prize. |
