The Avoid the Ten Task Force and California Highway Patrol plan a massive coverage of the Imperial County roadways this weekend. The Task Force is a joint effort between several participating law enforcement agencies. They will conduct a sobriety checkpoint in Calexico tonight. Saturation Patrols will be conducted in Calexico, El Centro, Brawley and Imperial all weekend long. Participating Police Department conduct the Saturation Patrols. The CHP goes into their Maximum Enforcement Period tonight. They will continue through mid-night Memorial Day. Maximum Enforcement is when every available officer is given over-time to patrol the roadways.
