| Yuma, Arizona – July 17, 2006 -- Arizona Western College is proud to announce that Southern California high school players Brittany Thompson, Shaquita Denson-Griffin and Micaela Jackson have all signed letters of intent to play for the Lady Matadors beginning in the 2006-07 season. They are the 3rd, 4th and 5th newcomers signed by AWC Women’s Head Basketball Coach Patrick Cunningham, following the lead of Brazilian forward/center Debora Dourado (who arrived at AWC in time to attend classes during the 2006 spring semester) and Portland, Oregon forward Katrina Johnson (who signed a letter of intent in May). |
