AWC - Volleyball Tournament Results

The Arizona Western Lady Matadors traveled to the Salt Lake Volleyball Tournament in Utah. AWC drops three of four matches on Friday at the tournament.

Match 1: AWC vs Salt Lake (26-30, 22-30)
Match 2: AWC vs Lakeland, IL. (28-30, 16-30)
Match 3: AWC vs Indian Hills, IA (30-22, 30-26)
Match 4: AWC vs MO West Plains (24-30, 30-24, 9-15)

Lady Matador Head Coach Jason Smith stated “Salt Lake was a ’05 Top 10 finisher. MOWP was an ‘05 NJCAA Tournament semifinalist. Indian Hills finished 5^th at the NJCAA Tournament. And the best team of the bunch for this year is definitely Lakeland. When you put it all together, and see how close we played in every match, I can’t help but feel like we belong in the same category as these teams. Give us another month to continue to improve, and we’ll be right with him.”
