The Arizona Western College Lady Matador's Volleyball team (25-8) beat Eastern Arizona Community College (18-17)28-30, 26-30, 30-21, 30-23, and 15-11. The Lady Mats were led by Patty Paniagua (22), Luci Toazzi (18) and Ana Bauer (11) in kills. Ana Bauer (23) and Nikki Sorenson (21) led the team in digs.
AWC Head Coach Jason Smith stated, “We came out flat, but when we decided to ‘flip the switch’, we played pretty well. We had to fight for it, but it’s worth the fight to win the conference title.”
The Lady Matadors are 2007 ACCAC regular season Co-Champions (with Phoenix) this marks the first ACCAC regular season title since 2004
