The 18th Ranked Arizona Western College Lady Matadors' Volleyball team (11-1) swept Whatcom College (3-4) in straight games 30-19 and 30-18 in pool play. The Lady Mats were led by Ana Bauer (9) and Patty Paniagua (8), in kills.
AWC Head Coach Jason Smith stated, “We played much better volleyball tonight. We’re going to have keep to keep ascending and getting better, because the tournament is going to get much more difficult over the next two days. But we’re happy with our performance today.”
