The Arizona Western Lady Matador volleyball team (16-16) put a real scare into the #2 ranked Chandler Gilbert Community College team (21-3) before losing a very competitive match (27-30,30-28,9-30,19-30) on the road.
AWC Head Coach Jason Smith stated, “Fortunately, we played very well during the first two games. But during the third and fourth games, we just weren’t able to deal with our success very well, and our focus level dropped. It’s just part of being a young team, but the fact that we were able to play that well against a team that good for that long-and actually take games from them-shows that we’re continuing to improve with every match.” AWC’s Next Game: is vs. Mesa Community College in Mesa, Arizona - Wednesday 7:00 PM |
