The Arizona Western College softball team (26-19) split a doubleheader in high winds with Glendale Community College (20-20) by the scores of 5-9 and 14-8.
AWC Head coach Pam Stone stated, “Obviously, the weather was bad for both teams (wind advisory for the Yuma area, with winds up to 50 MPH), but I’m glad that we stayed focused in Game 2 to get the win.” AWC’s Next Game: at (1) Pima DH Thursday Noon (Tucson) |
