The 11th ranked Arizona Western College basketball team lost to Mesa Community College (12-8) in Mesa last night 91-87.
AWC head coach Kelly Green stated, “At the beginning of the 2nd half, we didn’t do anything. I called a time out, and asked our guys if they really wanted to play. And yet, with all of that, we still had a chance to win at the end. And if you give us a couple of inches: an inch less on Vitor’s layup, and an inch on Brett’s follow-up tip (both on the same play with :15 left in regulation), we’re probably in great shape to win the game.” AWC’s Next Game: Men: at Glendale Tuesday 7:30PM (Glendale) Women: at Glendale Tuesday 5:30PM (Glendale) |
