The Arizona Western College Lady Matador Basketball team (11-7) defeated Glendale Community College (5-12) by the score of 58-54. This marked the 7th consecutive conference victories for the Lady Matadors.
AWC head coach Patrick Cunningham stated, “Give Glendale credit, because they really got out early and made their shots. We hung with them, and fortunately made some stops in the 2nd half, and that’s what got us back into it. It keeps us on a good roll, and now we can go into Wednesday against Central Arizona really knowing that we’re going to find out how good we are or can be.” AWC’s Next Game: Men: at Central Arizona Wednesday 7:30PM (Coolidge) Women: at (8) Central Arizona Wednesday 5:30PM (Coolidge) |
