The Arizona Western College Mens Basketball team (6-0) won the Eastern Arizona Holiday Classic-Thatcher, Arizona by stopping Otero by the score of 74-55 Saturday evening.
Head Coach Kelly Green stated “I thought our defensive intensity was a lot better to start the game tonight. We were very aggressive offensively early, which led to some easy baskets. We got the ball to Eddie early, and got him some easy baskets, and that opened up the rest of the offense for us. We didn’t keep that intensity up the whole game, though, and we started forcing things-trying to do too much. Overall, it was a good weekend to prepare for the conference season, and playing back-to-back nights does that for you, I think.”
