The Arizona Western College Matador baseball team (26-23) swept South Mountain Community College (25-25) in a doubleheader today by the scores of 12-7 and 12-3.
Arizona Western College head coach John Stratton stated, “We took care of business. We had to start sweeping to make any kind of gains at all, and we gained some ground today. Even though we haven’t been able to put up a big winning streak, we’ve now put together 6 very solid games in a row, so we’re headed in the right direction.” AWC’s Next Game: at 7th ranked Cochise Community College DH Saturday Noon (Douglas) |
