The Arizona Western College Matador baseball team (29-26) completed their season by splitting a doubleheader with Eastern Arizona Community College (17-37) by the scores of 3-0 and 1-2.
Arizona Western College head coach John Stratton: stated, “We did a lot of things well, but we just couldn’t score runs. We had some tough luck in the 2nd game, because we hit good hits, but they were right at people, and they scored the winning run on a double-play ball that deflected off the pitcher’s glove, and slowed it down enough to not be a double play.” Arizona Western College has completed their 2007 season with a record of 29-26. |
