The Arizona Western College Matador baseball team (22-21) split a doubleheader with 2nd ranked Central Arizona Community College (31-13) on the road by the scores of 5-3 and 3-15.
AWC head baseball coach John Stratton stated, “Getting a split on the road against the 2nd-place team in the league is not bad at all. We’re looking at a 4-day period of playing 4 games that are pretty important, and getting that first one is good. Now if we can get some good performances Tuesday, we should put ourselves in decent shape.” AWC’s Next Game: vs. Yavapai Community College Doubleheader Tuesday Noon (Kammann Field-AWC Campus) |
