The Arizona Western College Matador baseball team (24-23) split a doubleheader with the 9th Ranked Chandler Gilbert Community College (34-10) with a 1st game 1-0 shutout pitched by Ian Waldron then losing the second game 7-8. AWC head baseball coach John Stratton stated, “I thought Ian pitched just outstanding against the best-hitting team in the state.
