The Arizona Western College Matador Baseball Team (3-4) split two baseball games Saturday at the Coyote Slugout in Las Vegas. In the 1st game AWC defeated North Lake (1-4) by the score of 16-15. The Matadors went on to loose the final game of the day 1-0 to the Community College of Southern Nevada (4-2).
Head Coach John Stratton commented after game two, “We’d obviously liked to have won the game, but we can definitely live with a loss when the game is played this well on both sides. There were great defensive plays by both teams. Tyler Moyneur threw out three potential base-stealers, and the pitching on both sides was just fantastic.
